T-shirt design and more: Color drawing pages

Here are some color drawing pages. They are free for personal and non commercial use. The idea behind a color drawing page started a while ago when I saw drawing tutorials for kids , most of them basicly say draw these lines and you can draw a ...... ( whatever the tutorial was about ). But they almost missed the basic understanding of how a drawing is put together, almost non of them say start with a form, combine forms and after that sketch the rough version. Instead of that they went straight to the end result. I believe if you skip those steps it frustrates an starter ( like kids ) and after a while they loose interest. For example a while ago I was asked to draw ninja turtles for a couple of kids. I sketched the basic forms and after about half a minute the response was "that's NOT how you draw a ninja turtle !". I explained that these basic shapes are the building blocks for a drawing and I just got started. And after I watched a couple of "how to draw a ninja turtle tutorial" I understood the response. None of them explained how a drawing is put together. So then more recent I got chatting with Alicia Zwart an illustrator on Instagram and she send a link to her website where I saw that she had created color drawing pages. Then I got inspired to create color drawing pages of my own drawings.

The purpose is to better understand how a drawing is put together stimulate creativity. And although I started the first for my daughter and other kids I also planning on other pages for more experienced persons and themes for adults.

The pages are divided in different levels, level 1 is easy and level 3 is most difficult.

All are in English and Dutch, have fun and feel free to post a drawing on social media and tag me.
